What makes bubble letters look like graffiti

Graffiti bubble letters keep the puffy outline but push everything further: letters lean, overlap more, and swell out at the ends. Strokes are fatter at the bottom than at the top, which makes each letter look heavy and planted on the wall.

To draw them by hand, start with the same stick letter you’d use for regular bubble letters, then lean it a little to the right. Make the outline wider on the bottom and the right side, and let neighboring letters bump into each other.

Adding color like a real piece

Fill each letter with two colors that fade into each other from top to bottom, then add a dark shadow on one side and a few white shine marks. Pick 3D above for a ready-made shadow to copy.
